there in san jose and san francisco. temperatures feeling like the 50s because of the winds we're expecting to pick up. you can meet our own marla tellez out there tonight in san jose. christmas in the park. we meet back here on cyber monday. the christmas tree will be all lit up. we are looking forward to that. as we head through the day, clear conditions prevail. it is beautiful out there. winds are picking up a touch. but not too much. we're not talking about really gusty winds. you don't have to tie down objects in your back yard. however, we are going to see the winds increase a touch as we head through tonight. it will add to the wind chill. 58 in san francisco. napa at 61 degrees. 36 earlier this morning. nice rebound. 65 for gilroy. 57 in santa cruz. part of the reason why is we are getting the dry northerly winds. when the winds are coming from the east/northeast, that pushes the marine layer out to sea. no fog in the city by the bay for today. these winds are going to continue to increase. right now, our strongest wind is in livermore. sustained at 14 miles per hour. high pressure

of the bridges for quite a while. this is san jose. we sent photographers out, this is one o of the clear spots. let's go to the map. here's that fog we've been talking about, this is across the golden gate bridge, a little bit slow right now on the approach between 580 and the toll plaza. you can see the headlights there. this is back to work after a while for some folks. if you're heading toward ffo, this is what it looks like on 101. past campbell, it looks okay as far as accidents, no major road work to slow you down. 280 is pretty quiet as well. interstate 80, they have issued a dense fog advisory for the carcinas bridge. particularly when you get a little bit further north heading toward vacaville, davis, cp noticed it's especially thick in spots there. milpitas, 880, coming around that bend, so far so good out toward san jose. that is a check of the time saver traffic. >>> the numbers this morning, we're starting out at least a little bit warmer than we have lately because with the low clouds acts as a blanket, in the low 50s in oakland, and in the headlines we'll be looking at the fog t

. a small memorial is there for the san jose rest denied 22- year-old rory park petty ford. police have one person this custody. here's his picture. 26-year-old jonathan wilbanks was arrested on friday night. he was caught after a series of robberies, a police chase, shooting and carjacking attempt that left a man dead. here's a map that shows the path of this violent crime spree. wilbanks's alleged acome police got away but together they committed four robberies on friday at a little caesar's pizza on story road, gas station on east capital, a jack- in-the-box on curtner avenue and the spa on bird avenue. around 9:00 the pair tried to carjack 22-year-old rory in the seven eleven parking lot and shot him dead. police then spotted the car on highway 101 near interstate 280 and chased it through town. the suspects got out and opened fire on the officers. about >> about 9:00 i heard gunshots. >> saw the victim up in the front and in shock after finding out his father -- that his son had been shot in front of seven learn. >> reporter: police returned fire and hit wilbanks. one officer was treat

boston, seattle, new york, oakland and san jose or santa clara mta. they all had higher scores than muni. muni was on the bottom. we included bart. since they said other systems did it we decided to look at the systems in paris france. it took months to identify the right officials and in this case either the head of operations or the systems schedulinger all but one which was new york agreed to an extensive interview by two of us and per the rules we were not identified. nevertheless of the interviews as described in the report were significant. all transit systems it became clear had multiple systems that were similar and had challenges and all needed to deal with complex traffic, scheduling, and terrain problems uniquely their own, and yet as we had known the san francisco controller's survey had shown all had higher reliability and rider seaferz than muni and we determined that all systems use switchbacks they only did so in cases of equipment break down or emergencies except for one. one system which happened to be the santa clara mta does use switch backs and interesting
